Rantoul City Schools District 137 is hiring a Kindergarten Teacher at our Northview School beginning with the 2025-26 school year

Salary Range: Minimum $54,358.52 (0 years experience, Masters Degree); Maximum $98,800.44 (31 years experience, Masters + 60 hours)

Under the guidance of the Building Principal/Director of Special Services/Director of Curriculum, the Grade Level Teacher will plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field, Illinois Teaching Certificate
  • Experience with curriculum design, planning, and instruction
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising students in various settings
  • Monitoring and evaluating student outcomes
  • Developing, modifying instructional plans and materials
  • Monitoring use and care of equipment and facilities
  • Planning and delivering instruction aligned with Common Core State Standards
  • Administering assessments and providing feedback
  • Incorporating district initiatives into instruction
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Classroom management and organization

Additional duties:

  • Communicating with students, parents, staff, and community
  • Participating in meetings and committees
  • Engaging in professional development and collaboration
  • Upholding professionalism and ethics

Teaching Framework: Based on Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching, focusing on content knowledge, student engagement, assessment, classroom environment, and professionalism.
