Job summary

Waco ISD's J H Hines Elementary seeks a qualified Teacher to provide engaging instruction in the elementary grades. The teacher will plan lessons, assess students, and collaborate with staff to support district standards and student growth.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and Texas teaching certificate; experience with diverse learners is valued. This is a full-time, exempt position with duties including classroom management, parent conferences, and participation in campus initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Plan and adapt lessons for different learning styles.
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and policies.
• Use varied instructional strategies and materials.
• Assess student learning and use results to guide instruction.
• Coordinate with special education staff to adapt curricula per IEP.
