JOB DESCRIPTION- TEACHER
The position shall require an appropriate teacher's certificate(PreK-3 and TOSD or TOH) issued by the State board of Examiners under the rules and regulations prescribed by the State Board of Education. Appointment shall be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the superintendent. This position requires the medical and physical capacity to perfonn the major responsibilities.
Appointment shall be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the superintendent. Tenure shall be granted in accordance with state mandates.
The salary for this position shall be consistent with the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in the contract between the Board of Education and the Mercer County Special Services Education and Therapeutic Association.
Minimum- Salary Guide Step 1: $77,426
The teacher shall report to the building principal or other administrators as designatedby the superintendent. His/her performance shall be evaluated in a manner consistent with policies and procedures of the board of Education, as described in policy 4115.1.
The teacher is the educational specialist who transmits the mandates, intentions and efforts of state officials, the Board of Education and the administrative and supportive staff of the school district for the provision of a thorough and efficient education for pupils into practical reality.
