This part-time position (0.6875 FTE) pays an hourly rate of $19.86 to $20.83, DOE, and offers the ASD retirement through PERS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or current enrollment in a GED program.
• Must meet paraprofessional requirements for Alaska through one of the listed methods: 48 credits, passing ETS Paraprofessional or WorkKeys, or ASD Master Teacher training.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and inspire confidence and cooperation of staff, parents, students, administrators, and the public.
• Ability to establish and maintain a professional relationship with staff, parents, students, administrators, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Prepares class materials at direction of the teacher.
• Sets up class projects using guidelines established by the teacher.
• Handles routine reports needed to complete informational requirements.
• Records grades as assigned by the teacher.
