Job summary

The Blake School's Early Learning Center seeks a long-term substitute kindergarten teacher starting January 2027. You will plan and implement a developmentally responsive curriculum and observe and support children's literacy, math, and social-emotional growth within Blake's Reggio-inspired framework.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum for kindergarten students and oversee student academic progress.
• Work in partnership with parents to identify students’ learning needs and determine the most effective support inside and outside the school setting.
• Communicate openly, honestly and frequently with parents about their children’s successes and struggles.
• Document student progress in written reports.
• Oversee a classroom budget.
• Participate in divisional and all-school faculty meetings and committees.
• Attend and contribute to all-school events such as back-to-school nights and admission open houses.
