We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Teacher to inspire our kindergarten and elementary students through the joy of music and Theater.

Job Description: You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive music education program for students in kindergarten through elementary school. This includes teaching basic music theory, vocal performance, and introducing various musical instruments. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to explore their musical interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver engaging music and theater lessons for students in grades K-5.
  2. Teach music theory, vocal skills, instrument basics, and introduction to different music genres.
  3. Create and direct performances, including school musicals, plays, and talent shows.
  4. Foster an appreciation for the arts while promoting a love of music and theater in students.
  5. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate arts into various subjects.
  6. Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and respectful environment for all students.
  7. Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
  8. Organize and participate in school events and performances.
  9. Prepare and maintain educational materials, instruments, and resources for lessons.
  10. Maintain communication with parents regarding student performance and events.

Qualifications:

  1. Some degree in music education, Music, or a related field.
  2. Strong knowledge of music theory, vocal techniques, and various musical instruments.
  3. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  4. Ability to inspire and engage students of all skill levels.
  5. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children.

Preferred Qualifications:
