Escuela Avancemos! Academy in Detroit seeks a Kindergarten teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction while supporting English language development for multilingual learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Valid Michigan teaching certification for the appropriate grade level.
• ESL/ELL Endorsement, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that supports academic achievement and English language development.
• Implement culturally responsive teaching practices and ESL strategies to support diverse learners.
• Differentiate instruction to meet students at varying levels of language proficiency.
• Analyze student performance and language data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and restorative classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, ESL staff, and support teams to ensure student success.
• Build strong partnerships with families and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate records, assessments, and required documentation.
