Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) is required.
• Valid teaching certification is required.
• 1–3 years of successful teaching experience (may include student teaching).
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Strong command of grades/subject content and learning theory, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation and feedback.
• Commitment to CSUSA values and professional ethics.
• Successful results of criminal and employment background checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement instruction aligned to adopted courses of study and CSUSA philosophy.
• Create effective lesson plans and maximize time on task.
• Present material with real‑world examples to maximize learning.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress reports.
• Differentiate instruction and use diagnostic assessments.
• Coordinate field trips and prepare students for state assessments.
• Keep current in subject matter knowledge and share best practices with colleagues.

Education

Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent

Possession of valid teaching certification

Minimum of one to three years successful teaching experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Command of grades/subject specific content and theory of learning

Understanding of and commitment to CSUSA values

Background check clearance

Effective instructional delivery techniques

Excellent communication skills

Adherence to Code of Ethics for the Education Profession
