Job Goals:

The Bilingual Teacher provides specialized instruction to develop students' abilities to perform coursework (in Spanish or English as appropriate) and acquire English language skills.

Performance Responsibilities:
  1. Performs activities listed in the district's classroom teacher job description as appropriate.
  2. Plans, organizes, and delivers instruction in English and students' native language, aligned with district standards and laws.
  3. Develops and implements lesson plans using differentiated techniques to develop communication skills across content areas.
  4. Administers assessments to evaluate academic progress and language acquisition, maintaining accurate records.
  5. Creates a nurturing, positive learning environment with high expectations and challenging strategies.
  6. Facilitates home-school communication through conferences, meetings, and support services.
  7. Attends professional meetings and school district committees as required.
  8. Complies with policies for bilingual education and advocates for program needs.
  9. Performs additional duties as assigned by district authorities.
