Job summary

TATES CREEK ELEMENTARY in Lexington, KY is seeking a Kindergarten Paraeducator 1.0 FTE to assist a certified teacher in providing instruction to individuals or small groups and to monitor student progress. This position works within the Fayette County Public Schools system and involves classroom support, transportation assistance, and aiding in various tests and activities.

Qualifications include 48 college credits or completion of the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment or an Associate's Degree,

Qualifications

• Minimum 48 college credit hours or Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment.
• Experience working with youth in organized settings and with children with special needs; multi-cultural and multi-ethnic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist a certified teacher in providing instruction to individuals or small groups.
• Monitor and report student progress.
• Participate as a member of an instructional team and build relationships with parents and team members.
• Transport students to activities and assist in preparation.
• Prepare and organize lessons and administer tests per guidelines.
