Job summary

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates teaching skills and knowledge in assigned academic area, utilizing course of study adopted by the Governing Board and other appropriate learning activities.
• Instructs pupils in basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to each pupil’s needs.
• Prepares current schedules, lesson plans and seating charts for use by a guest teacher.
• Evaluates pupil’s academic and social growth and maintains permanent records; communicates with parents regularly.
