Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Basic clerical skills are required.
• Knowledge of automated office equipment and computer operations.
• Strong organizational skills and evidence of good moral character.
• Must meet Title I requirements if position is Title I funded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instructional materials at direction of assigned teacher, including charts and room decorations.
• Assist with classroom routine and housekeeping, distribute materials, use classroom equipment, collect homework, and test materials.
• Perform clerical duties for the assigned teacher, including attendance, inventories, materials, and filing.
• Work with students individually or in groups, review concepts, assist with projects, correct work, maintain discipline, and help new students acclimate.
• Monitor students during non-instructional time per IEP or Section 504 plans.
