Gadsden Independent School District in New Mexico is seeking an instructional assistant to support teachers and students. You will assist with classroom routines, supervise activities, and tutor students under guidance, while performing clerical tasks and helping prepare displays.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 48 college credits with focus areas, or ParaPro/similar testing, plus the NM Educational Assistant Level III License.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of 48 semester hours of academic credit that includes 15 semester hours in language arts, reading, writing, mathematics or professional education (earned from a nationally or regionally accredited college/university) or Passage of Educational Assistant Assessment (ParaPro, ParaEducator, and Basic Skills).
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
New Mexico Public Education Educational Assistant Level III License required.
