The City of New Braunfels seeks caring individuals to join DAS REC, New Braunfels Recreation Center, delivering Kinder Care/child watch services with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. You will help maintain an engaging, clean, and safe childcare environment for children, parents, and staff.

Applicants must be at least sixteen years old with childcare and customer service experience, and obtain CPR/AED certification within two weeks of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age and have one (1) year experience with children in a childcare setting and one (1) year customer service/public interaction experience.
• Must possess or obtain within two (2) weeks of employment: Community First Aid and Safety/CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of: Principles and practices of customer service; Federal and State safety laws and regulations.
• Skills: Interpreting customer and facility needs; solving customer service and public relations issues; analyzing problems; responding to emergencies; establishing cooperative relationships; effective communication.

Responsabilités

• Assist in delivering high-quality and consistent programs and services to the community.
• Maintain order and organization of childcare operations, programs, and processes.
• Ensure safety and hygienic environment in the childcare facility.
• Respond to parents to fulfill childcare service needs.
• Set up and clean as you go to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Work hours may extend beyond normal schedule for meetings, trainings, events, or emergencies.
• Monitor facility and equipment use by the public; perform basic janitorial tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
