Job description

What you will do:

  • Responsible for the safe and productive operation of the forklift at the Kiln and Sawmill departments.
  • Responsible for maintaining safe and organized storage in all areas of lumber storage.
  • Responsible for all aspects of moving lumber packages, mis-sort, stacking sticks, etc.
  • Cooperation with both departments as needed for the efficiency of the mill to be maintained
  • Responsible for Basic Care of forklift to include pre-shift inspections
  • Responsible for assisting with the operation of the Sawmill and Kilns as needed
  • Show initiative, good work habits and attendance, good safety record, and good housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

What you will need:

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have minimum 1-year verifiable work experience as a forklift operator preferred.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts.
  • Must successfully complete a skills assessment, pre-employment drug screen, physical, reference check, and background check.
