Job summary

Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools (KCKPS) seeks a Kidzone Group Leader to oversee daily after-school activities, youth development, and program operations. The role requires coordinating staff, ensuring program quality, and maintaining timely reports while serving as the on-site lead when the Program Director is unavailable.

Responsibilities include planning daily activities, supervising students, and adhering to district policies.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Basic accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Implement assigned programs daily.
• Ensure that the programs are operating with quality.
• Guide and assist children to participate in all areas.
• Be a positive role model.
• Submit all required reports on time.
• Promote and stimulate high daily attendance in the program.
• Complete at least 16 clock hours of in-service training annually.
• Must attend site based staff meetings.
• Must sign in and sign out on time sheets daily and follow schedules.
• Submit daily/weekly/monthly lesson plans and follow-up reports on time.
• Assist with planning and follow-up of special events for programming.
