Midtown is searching for a KidTown/Child Care Associate to join our world‑class team. $15-$17/Hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment of movement‑based fun in a safe and comfortable setting.
• Lead activities such as arts and crafts, story time, and games.
• Communicate both positive and negative behaviors to parents at pick‑up.
• Create relationships with families.
• Keep the space clean, free of germs and messes to ensure the well‑being of staff and children.
• Strategize with leadership to constantly improve KidTown and Varsity Club.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children in an educationally supportive environment.
• Comfortable with children ages 8 weeks up to 15 years old.
• Take initiative and ownership of the position and lead youth members with confidence and care.
• Possess outstanding verbal communication skills with children and adults.
• Patience, outgoing, friendly, and high energy levels to keep children moving in a variety of activities.
• Willingness to grow with the changing needs of members and our space.
• Maintain a positive attitude and enjoy working with children.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to stand for long periods of time and move quickly from seated to standing position to attend to child’s needs.
• Child CPR, First Aid & AED certification required (Midtown provides this training for Associates).
