A talent acquisition firm is seeking a Technical Designer to assist the team temporarily in their New York office. The role involves developing specs, measuring garments, and supporting cross-functional teams. This is a full-time position offering a pay range of $42.50/hr - $46.50/hr.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Technical Design experience in apparel design, childrenswear is a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing initial specs with the Design team.
• Enter development sample measurements into PLM.
• Track and organize samples as they arrive in the office.
• Measure garments for accuracy and consistency.
• Review garments for quality issues.
• Assist during fit sessions by taking detailed photos and notes.
• Generate fit comments to share with overseas vendors.
• Maintain tech logs with fit comments and photos.
• Support cross-functional partners in Production, Product Development, and Design.
