THE ROLE & SCHEDULE

We are looking for coaches with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages walking to 11 years old. KidStrong Coaches will focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum.

Ideal candidates must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind the KidStrong curriculum. Our classes typically run on weekdays from 9 am - 11 am and evenings until 7 pm, with weekends from 8 am through lunch/noon. There is an opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on center needs.

COACH RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old.
  2. Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team.
  3. Ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum.
  4. Greet students and their parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at the beginning of class.
  5. Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class.
  6. Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises.
  7. Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift.
  8. Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.).
  9. Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.
  10. Complete trainings through FranConnect as required by the HQ Training and Certification team.
  11. Work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
