Job summary

Washington Elementary School District 6 KidSpace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Moon Mountain KidSpace Assistant to support teachers by providing materials and guiding group activities. You will help prepare classrooms, supervise students, and communicate with parents about progress and concerns.

The role is non-exempt, pays $15.15–$17.12 per hour, and requires a HS diploma or current student status, CPR within 30 days, and AZ IVP fingerprint clearance. Starting date is immediate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED prior to hire or current student ≥17
• Six months of working with children in a learning environment or related experience
• CPR certificate within thirty days of hire
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP FPCC) required

Responsibilities

• Works with students individually or in groups on projects, monitoring behavior and enforcing standards
• Copies and prepares educational materials as needed
• Prepares classrooms for activities and cleans up after activities
• Accompanies students to library, playground, cafeteria and buses, ensuring orderly behavior
• Communicates with parents regarding progress and concerns and assists teachers with lesson planning
• Performs other duties as assigned
