One Down Dog in Los Angeles is seeking a playful, grounded part-time kids yoga teacher who can transform a room full of wiggly bodies into a meaningful, developmental experience. You will lead classes that build strength, balance, body awareness, and focus through games, stories, and play.

Ideal candidates have RCYT certification, at least two years of experience with children, CPR/First Aid, and flexible after-school and weekend availability, with a commitment to teaching at least two classes

Formación

• RCYT certification or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of experience with children in a program setting.
• Current pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

We're seeking playful, creative, grounded kids yoga teachers who can turn a room full of wiggly bodies into a transformational experience. Our ideal candidate understands how kids move, learn, and pay attention at different ages, and teaches classes that build strength, balance, body awareness, and focus through games, stories, and play. If you're passionate about helping kids feel confident in their bodies and leaving them proud, calm, and excited to come back, we want to meet you!

What we’re looking for:

• Instructors who can plan and lead age-appropriate classes, with poses, games, and breathing exercises tailored to where kids are developmentally.
• Teachers with strong classroom management skills: clear expectations, smooth transitions, and the ability to redirect energy without shutting it down.
• Individuals who can adapt on the fly for short attention spans, different learning styles, and kids who need extra support to participate.
• Teachers who make breath work and mindfulness accessible to kids using visualization, counting, and play.
• Community builders who connect with kids and keep parents and caregivers informed about what their child is learning.

Requirements:

• Kids yoga teacher training certification (RCYT or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of experience teaching or working with children in a studio, school, or camp setting
• Working knowledge of child development and age-appropriate movement, including which poses and holds suit younger bodies
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, including pediatric
• Willingness to complete a background check
• Flexible availability, including after-school hours and weekends
• A commitment to teaching at least 2 classes per week
