Job summary

Institute of Packaging Professionals in New York, NY is seeking a Graphic/Packaging Designer to join our client in NYC. You will design and execute packaging for children's accessories and home goods, and prepare production-ready artwork and dielines for packaging and hangtags.

You will collaborate with design, product development and merchandising teams to meet project timelines, ensure color accuracy, and maintain packaging specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• 2+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in home textiles.
• Strong proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Understanding of print production, packaging layouts, and dielines.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to take direction and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute packaging for children's accessories & home goods.
• Create production-ready artwork, layouts, and dielines for packaging and hangtags.
• Support seasonal collections by developing on-brand graphics, patterns, and illustration.
• Collaborate with design, product development, and merchandising teams to meet project timelines.
• Prepare files for print, ensuring accuracy, color consistency, and compliance with packaging specifications.
• Make revisions based on internal feedback and retailer requirements.
• Organize and maintain digital assets, style guides, and artwork files.
