Job summary

School of Rock in West Des Moines, IA is seeking passionate musicians to teach young students ages 3-7. If you have instrument proficiency, gigging or early childhood education experience, you likely have the skills we need here at the school.

Flexible hours - evenings Mon-Thurs 2-9pm, and Sat 10-4pm. You select days and times; we provide studio and resources and schedule students. Starting pay is $15-17/hr depending on proficiency, education, and number of instruments you can teach.

Qualifications

• Must have instrument proficiency for the taught instruments.
• Experience teaching young children (ages 3–7) is preferred.
• Gigging experience or performance background is a plus.
• Ability to adapt lessons to different student needs and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Teach group and private lessons in a studio setting.
• Schedule and manage student timetables; collect tuition when needed.
• Utilize provided studio/resources or bring personal teaching materials.
• Deliver engaging, inspiring lessons to young students.
