Job summary

KinderCare Education LLC is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children in our centers. You will follow menus designed by our in-house nutritionist and ensure meals meet safety and portion guidelines.

As part of a dedicated team, you will maintain a clean, organized kitchen, order supplies, and document activities to comply with licensing standards. The role supports center goals around enrollment and engagement, in a child-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Love for children and desire to impact daily learning.
• Familiarity with accurate food storage, understand allergies, avoid cross-contamination.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare quantities for center population.
• Basic math for measuring and portions.
• Possess a Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain.
• At least one year of institutional cooking; food ordering experience desirable.
• Two or more years working with children desirable.
• Read, write, understand and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medications as requested.
• Complete timely documentation according to KinderCare and licensing requirements.
• Help with other daily center duties as needed.
• Support center success by partnering with staff to achieve enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
