Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in child food service preparation desirable.
• CACFP knowledge desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication required.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Able to pass Head Start guidance and state licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with planning and preparing foods per policies.
• Deliver meals ready for family style service.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and storage per health dept requirements.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of all food service equipment; assist in purchasing as needed.
• Cooperate with nutrition education activities for staff, parents and children.
• Attend trainings and other professional development opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
