Job summary

American Exchange Group in New York City is seeking an Assistant or Associate Footwear Designer to support the design and development of Girls footwear across licensed brands and private label programs for the off-price market. We are open to interviewing both Assistant and Associate level candidates.

The role requires strong Photoshop/Illustrator skills, CAD experience, and the ability to collaborate with our China team, clients, and factories while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Degree in Footwear Design or related field
• Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills
• Experience with Adobe InDesign preferred
• Able to research market trends
• Detail oriented and organized

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of Girls footwear across licensed brands
• Create artwork using Illustrator/Photoshop and develop CADs
• Prepare development packages and tech packs
• Collaborate with China team, clients and factories
• Present design ideas to leadership and customers
