Role of the Kids’ Dentistry Manager

The Kids’ Dentistry Manager is responsible for achieving financial performance and revenue growth for their location. They need to be an expert in their local market, leveraging best practices for patient acquisition and retention. The manager provides leadership and guidance to achieve individual and team success, supports and drives PDS’s mission and culture, and implements the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE). In locations with Pediatrics and Orthodontics services, driving Orthodontic financial performance and revenue growth may also be required.

Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate the launch of Pediatric Dental models and programs in the assigned office by implementing best operational practices.
  2. Maintain an organized and productive office schedule to ensure profitability and smooth operations.
  3. Assist the Operations Manager in driving revenue and profit growth by managing expenses, profit and loss, and adhering to financial protocols.
  4. Perform People Services functions such as staffing, interviewing, performance appraisals, talent development, disciplinary actions, and salary administration.
  5. Provide feedback and develop strategies to improve financial and patient outcomes.
  6. Create an environment that promotes PDS Patient for Life (PFL) and Pediatric culture and values daily.
  7. Ensure smooth first and subsequent visits by checking supplies, forms, schedules, and dental assistants.
  8. Engage in creating and implementing best practices for Pediatric office management.
  9. Manage procedures and insurance benefits, and analyze opportunities in PRISM for Pediatric offices.
  10. Assist in resolving staff and patient issues with timely and effective solutions.
  11. Implement and coordinate marketing programs to grow the business.
  12. Develop and implement measurable goals for the team and office.
  13. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to identify improvement opportunities.
  14. Lead daily huddles and meetings as required.
  15. Ensure facility cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  1. At least 5 years of related work experience.
  2. Operational management knowledge of medical/dental offices.
  3. High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in dentistry, business, or related fields.
  2. Knowledge of WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and QSI software.
  3. Experience leading a team and mentoring staff.

Compensation: $20.75-$29.00 per hour.
