Job summary

YMCA of Central Kentucky seeks a Kid’s Corner Staff to supervise children from 6 weeks to 9 years while parents use the facility. The role includes implementing activities, ensuring safety, and collaborating with staff to maintain a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily operations, overseeing groups, and upholding YMCA policies. Must be at least 18, with strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and families.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work well with children in a team setting.
• Positive interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with children and parents.
• Ability to follow YMCA policies and procedures and maintain safety standards.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children ages 6 weeks through 9 years in the YMCA facility.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities and ensure child safety.
• Work with staff to maintain a safe, enriching environment.
• Assist with daily operations of Kid’s Corner and follow YMCA policies.
• Oversee large groups of children and manage resources appropriately.
• Maintain contact with parents and staff; communicate effectively.
