South Park Church is seeking a Kid’s Corner Associate Director (Birth–Kindergarten) to shepherd our leaders and volunteers, nurture families, and create vibrant, safe spaces where kids thrive.

The role emphasizes building teams, fostering a relational, vision-driven culture, and partnering with ministry leaders to deliver Jesus-centered programming and family discipleship.

Qualifications

• Passionate leader with a heart for nurturing children and families.
• Strong relational intelligence and communication skills.
• Experience in developing and coaching volunteer teams.
• 3+ years in ministry/education leadership is preferred.
• Education in Bible/Theology/Education is a plus, discipleship passion essential.

Responsibilities

• Volunteer Cultivator: identify, recruit, and coach new leaders to become shepherd-leaders.
• Team Cheerleader: build community-based, high-energy teams with regular huddles and care.
• Strong Leadership Partner: collaborate with Children’s Ministry Director on a Jesus-centered vision, including events like VBS.
• Family Partner: equip parents to be the primary spiritual leaders at home.
• Culture Creator: foster appreciation and safety through notes, praise, and safety checks.

The Mission (If One Accepts It):

The candidate isn't just managing programs; but building a thriving community of shepherd-leaders and ministry teams. The primary goal is to love, support, and empower our volunteers so they can, in turn, effectively disciple the children.

The "Fun" Responsibilities:

• Volunteer Cultivator (Shepherd-Leader):Identify, recruit, and coach new leaders, moving them from supporters to shepherd-leaders.
• Team Cheerleader:Build community-based, high-energy teams through regular "huddles" and personal care (one-on-ones, prayer, and encouragement)
• Strong Leadership Partner:Collaborate with the Children’s Ministry Director to craft a fun, Jesus-centered ministry vision, which includes epic events like VBS and holiday programs.
• Family Partner:Equip parents to be the primary spiritual leaders at home.
• Culture Creator:Foster a culture of appreciation and safety (handwritten notes, public praise, and rigorous safety checks and processes).
