Grace Meridian Hill in Washington, DC seeks a Director of Children & Community Life to lead and integrate the church’s children, youth, and community life ministries. The role balances administrative oversight with relational leadership, coordinating events, and nurturing volunteers.

The position involves managing classrooms, volunteers, special events, and church-wide programs, with careful attention to communication, fellowship, and diverse ministry needs. A strong faith commitment is expected.

Qualificações

• Prior experience with children and local church children’s ministries (professionally or volunteer).
• Organized; strong administrative and project management skills.
• Problem-solver; able to make and implement decisions confidently.
• Enjoys empowering others and working collaboratively in teams.
• Personable demeanor; able to set an encouraging/joyful tone.

• Background check required; experience in infant/child CPR certification a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee children and youth ministries logistics; supervise volunteers and check-in.
• Organize seasonal opportunities for children’s participation in main service; support baptisms and classes.
• Coordinate youth programming logistics and liaise with Grace DC Network youth programming.
• Plan and administer logistics for major events, classes, and services; recruit teams.
• Maintain member database and assist with Life Group logistics and church communications.
