YSS is seeking an enthusiastic, fun, Kids Club Program Assistant (PT) to help us provide stability and education beyond the classroom. Our Kids Club program offers a safe and stimulating environment before and after school and during no-school days for children (grades K-6). We provide structured, interactive, activities that help children build their skills.

Responsibilities

As a Program Assistant, you will provide activities and tutoring for participants. You will also directly supervise children, following schedules, keeping records of their progress, and create a nurturing environment that allows children to play, learn, and build positive relationships. Responsibilities include:

• Providing before and after school programming when classes are in- session during the school year.
• Supervising children in the Kids Club Program.
• Coordinating with community resources to provide recreational and educational activities.
• Helping to plan and implement the activities of Kids Club which focus on meeting goals and objectives for each group.
• Helping prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Recording behavior and participation of each child in the program and help to evaluate progress.
• Completing incident reports as necessary.
• Maintaining good working relationships with school personnel, janitors, secretaries, and parents.
• Maintaining a clean facility, equipment, and supplies.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within three months of hire.
