Job summary

Genesis Health Clubs is seeking friendly, energetic individuals to join our Kids Club team in Topeka, KS. If you enjoy working with children, ensuring safety, and creating engaging activities, this is a perfect fit.

You will maintain a safe environment, communicate with parents, participate in monthly trainings, and help members with friendly service while keeping the center clean and activities engaging for all ages.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of age
• Enjoy working with children and facilitate age-appropriate games
• Friendly, enthusiastic, patient, and honest character
• First Aid, AED & Adult/Child/Infant CPR certified or willingness to obtain within 60 days
• Physically fit to lift up to 30 lbs and participate in active shifts
• Mentally alert to recognize safety concerns and understand youth development needs

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding their children
• Attend monthly training and team-building meetings
• Provide friendly customer service to members
• Record daily Kids Club usage
• Keep center clean and equipment sanitized
• Facilitate age-appropriate games and activities with children

Requirements

• 16+ years of age
• Enjoy working with children and able to facilitate age-appropriate games
• Friendly, enthusiastic, patient, and honest character
• First Aid, AED & Adult/Child/Infant CPR Certified - or willing to obtain certifications within 60 days of employment
• Physically fit - able to lift up to 30 lbs., run, sit, kneel, and stand for the duration of a shift
• Mentally alert - able to recognize safety concerns and have a basic understanding of youth development and childrens needs

Basic Job Duties

• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children
• Become familiar with Genesis Employee and Kids Club Policies
• Professionally communicate with parents/guardians regarding their children
• Attend monthly training and team building meetings
• Provide friendly customer service to our members
• Report facility concerns to the supervisor promptly
• Record daily Kids Club usage
• Respectful and courteous interaction with our members and Genesis employees
• Keep Genesis Kids Club center clean and picked up at all times and equipment sanitized
• Facilitate age-appropriate games and activities to engage with children in our care at all times
