Job summary

Genesis Health Clubs in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Kids Club attendant to help ensure a safe, fun environment for our youngest members. You’ll facilitate age-appropriate activities, communicate with parents, and participate in monthly training sessions.

This role offers benefits like free childcare for your own children while at work, free gym access, and ongoing youth development training. Candidates must be 16+, enjoy working with kids, and be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old and able to engage with children.
• First Aid, AED and CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Physically fit to lift up to 30 lbs and be active during shifts.
• Friendly, energetic, patient and honest demeanor with both kids and guardians.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children.
• Facilitate age-appropriate games and activities.
• Communicate professionally with parents/guardians.
• Attend monthly training and team-building meetings.
• Provide friendly customer service to members.
• Record daily Kids Club usage and report concerns promptly.

Requirements

• 16+ years of age
• Enjoy working with children and able to facilitate age-appropriate games
• Friendly, enthusiastic, patient, and honest character
• First Aid, AED & Adult/Child/Infant CPR Certified – or willing to obtain certifications within 60 days of employment
• Physically fit – able to lift up to 30 lbs., run, sit, kneel, and stand for the duration of a shift
• Mentally alert – able to recognize safety concerns and have a basic understanding of youth development and children’s needs

Basic Job Duties

• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children
• Become familiar with Genesis Employee and Kids Club Policies
• Professionally communicate with parents/guardians regarding their children
• Attend monthly training and team building meetings
• Provide friendly customer service to our members
• Report facility concerns to the supervisor promptly
• Record daily Kids Club usage
• Respectful and courteous interaction with our members and Genesis employees
• Keep Genesis Kids Club center clean and picked up at all times and equipment sanitized
• Facilitate age-appropriate games and activities to engage with children in our care at all times
