Job summary

24 Hour Fitness is hiring a Kids' Club Attendant at our Pearl City club. You will care for children while their families work out, creating a safe, fun, and supervised space. You’ll be the friendly face families see at each visit and coordinate with staff to keep activities engaging and safe.

The role requires CPR certification within 60 days, state childcare certification/registration, and flexible hours across weekdays, weekends, and holidays in a welcoming club environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming area for children that is happy and vibrant.
• Entertain children in an interactive, safe, and engaging way.
• Control entry/exit and check-in/check-out to protect child safety.
• Process check-in/out, including drop-in payments and matching children to parents.
• Keep space, equipment, and toys organized and clean with coworkers.
• Supervise children and ensure they remain in the Kids' Club.
• Notify parents when involvement is needed (diaper changes, etc.).
• Provide basic childcare support and communicate concerns to parents.
• Administer first aid per policy and report health incidents to management.
• Clean and disinfect toys and the Kids' Club space regularly.

Job Summary

As a Kids' Club Attendant, you give members peace of mind by caring for the most important people in their lives while they work out. You create a safe, fun, and closely supervised environment for children, and you're often the first and last friendly face a family sees at the club each visit.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming area for all members' children that is happy and vibrant
• Entertain children in an interactive way, with a constant focus on their safety and well-being
• Maintain rigorous control of all entry and exit to the space, and of all check-in and check-out processes designed to protect child safety
• Process check-in and check-out, including drop-in payment collection, and match each child to their parent using the club's identification system
• Partner with coworkers to keep the space, equipment, and toys organized and clean
• Supervise the activities of all children and ensure each child remains in the Kids' Club at all times
• Monitor children's needs and notify parents when their involvement is required (e.g., diaper changing)
• Provide basic childcare support, including paging parents for diaper changes, and communicate directly with parents on any discipline concerns
• Administer first aid per company policy, and report incidents, complaints, or health concerns to the Assistant Operations Manager
• Clean and disinfect toys and the Kids' Club space regularly

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• A sincere, patient, and loving attitude toward children, with genuine concern for their well-being.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly relay children's needs to coworkers and parents.
• Exceptional attention to detail across multi-step processes, including 24 Hour Fitness requirements and state/federal compliance.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved organization (required within 60 days of employment).
• State-specific childcare certification/registration and background screening as required for your work location.
• Flexible availability across weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 6--12 months of child care experience

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

• Works in an environment with occasionally high noise levels, and near moving mechanical parts (fitness equipment).
• Must be able to move frequently through all areas of the Kids' Club, with continuous engagement and interaction with children, team members, and members.
• Daily duties include lifting toys and equipment, kneeling/crouching, remaining in a stationary position for extended periods, and moving for prolonged periods.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves infants and toddlers up to 25 pounds, and other equipment or supplies up to 50 pounds.

Travel Requirement

• Minimal travel may be required -- for example, to attend training, support a nearby club, or assist with a new club opening.
