Job summary

24 Hour Fitness in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Kids' Club Attendant to provide a safe, welcoming space for children while families work out. You will supervise play, enforce check-in/check-out procedures, and respond quickly to safety concerns, under supervision of the club staff.

This role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification within 60 days, and state childcare credentials. Flexible weekday/weekend availability and good communication with parents are essential; a free gym

Responsibilities

• Keep the space clean and organized in collaboration with team members.
• Supervise children's activities and ensure they stay in the Kids' Club.
• Notify parents when involvement is required (diaper changes, etc.).
• Provide basic childcare support and communicate discipline concerns to parents.
• Administer first aid per company policy and report incidents to supervisor.
• Clean and disinfect toys and space regularly.

Job Summary

As a Kids' Club Attendant, you give members peace of mind by caring for the most important people in their lives while they work out. You create a safe, fun, and closely supervised environment for children, and you're often the first and last friendly face a family sees at the club each visit.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming area for all members' children that is happy and vibrant
• Entertain children in an interactive way, with a constant focus on their safety and well-being
• Maintain rigorous control of all entry and exit to the space, and of all check-in and check-out processes designed to protect child safety
• Process check-in and check-out, including drop-in payment collection, and match each child to their parent using the club's identification system
• Partner with coworkers to keep the space, equipment, and toys organized and clean
• Supervise the activities of all children and ensure each child remains in the Kids' Club at all times
• Monitor children's needs and notify parents when their involvement is required (e.g., diaper changing)
• Provide basic childcare support, including paging parents for diaper changes, and communicate directly with parents on any discipline concerns
• Administer first aid per company policy, and report incidents, complaints, or health concerns to the Assistant Operations Manager
• Clean and disinfect toys and the Kids' Club space regularly

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• A sincere, patient, and loving attitude toward children, with genuine concern for their well-being.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly relay children's needs to coworkers and parents.
• Exceptional attention to detail across multi-step processes, including 24 Hour Fitness requirements and state/federal compliance.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved organization (required within 60 days of employment).
• State-specific childcare certification/registration and background screening as required for your work location.
• Flexible availability across weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 6--12 months of child care experience

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

• Works in an environment with occasionally high noise levels, and near moving mechanical parts (fitness equipment).
• Must be able to move frequently through all areas of the Kids' Club, with continuous engagement and interaction with children, team members, and members.
• Daily duties include lifting toys and equipment, kneeling/crouching, remaining in a stationary position for extended periods, and moving for prolonged periods.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves infants and toddlers up to 25 pounds, and other equipment or supplies up to 50 pounds.

Travel Requirement

• Minimal travel may be required -- for example, to attend training, support a nearby club, or assist with a new club opening.

Compensation Summary

All Employees: Free Club Membership, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Basic Group Live and AD&D Insurance ($10,000), and 401k Savings and Investment Plan.

Average of 30 hours or more per week: Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and Sickness Benefits (in addition to the above).

Actual offer may vary from posted hiring range based on location, work experience, and/or education.

Pay Range: $16.90 - $16.90
