The YMCA of Greater Louisville is seeking an entry-level Kids Club Attendant at the Floyd County Family YMCA in New Albany, IN. This part-time role focuses on safe, engaging activities for infants to school-age children, emphasizing core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.

You will lead organized activities, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and communicate openly with children and parents while ensuring safety and program quality.

Qualifications

• Provides excellent and genuine care for infants, toddlers, and school age children.
• Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
• Leads age-appropriate activities, including crafts and physical activities.
• Maintains open communication with children, parents, director and staff.
• Be open, friendly and approachable to children and parents.
• Responsible for health, welfare and safety of the children in Kids Club.
• Completes abuse risk management training; follows policies and reporting requirements.
• Position requires minimum age 16+.

Qualifications

• Provides a safe and welcoming atmosphere; maintain center cleanliness, sanitation, organization and appearance
• Ability to lead organized age-appropriate activities, including crafts and physical activities.
• Build and maintain open communication with children, parents, director and other staff.
• Be open, friendly and approachable to children and parents
• Responsible for the health, welfare and safety of the children in Kids Club
• Completes required abuse risk management training. Adheres to policies and procedures in managing high-risk activities and appropriate boundaries of supervision. Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violation to supervisor. Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements to authorities.
