YMCA of Delaware is seeking a Kids Club Associate for the Bear-Glasgow YMCA Family Location in Newark, DE. This part-time role pays $15.00 per hour and focuses on safe, engaging childcare for youth and teens, supporting health and wellbeing, and community service.

Eligible staff receive retirement contributions, development workshops and staff discounts. Responsibilities include supervising children, facilitating activities, maintaining a safe environment, and completing required documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be at least four years older than any child in direct care.
• Complete a physical & tuberculosis screening with physician’s documentation within 30 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a criminal history and child abuse background check as required by Delaware.

Responsabilités

• Supervise all children, groups and activities as assigned with safe, developmentally appropriate childcare practices.
• Provide daily care for children including diapering, toileting, and supporting social/emotional needs.
• Encourage and engage children in all Kids’ Club activities, including instructional activities, transitions and physical fitness.
• Assist in planning and participating in daily age-appropriate group activities to ensure learning and fun.
• Maintain facility and equipment cleanliness and safety daily.
• Complete program documentation including attendance, incidents and parent communication.
