Job summary

Gold's Gyms Of The Carolinas is seeking a Kids Club Associate to provide primary care and supervision for children in our gym's Kids Club area. You will oversee infants, toddlers, and older children during activities, ensuring safety and engagement.

The role requires basic computer skills, a High School Diploma or GED, and Infant/Child First Aid with CPR certification. Prior childcare experience is preferred, with opportunities to lead age‑appropriate activities weekly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2–3 years childcare experience preferred.
• Infant and Child First Aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Cares for children in a defined area of the gym for attending members.
• Organizes and participates in recreational activities such as games.
• Reads to children and teaches simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs.
• Takes care of special needs children as needed, including securing them in equipment such as chairs and slings.
• Organizes and stores toys and materials to ensure order in the Kids Club area.
• Projects a fun and energetic demeanor.
• Sanitizes toys, play equipment, and completes the daily cleaning checklist.
• Helps plan age‑appropriate activities on a weekly basis.
• Ensures that all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Attends all required staff meetings.
• Pages parent/guardian if necessary to address discipline issues or personal needs such as diaper changing, changing clothes, restroom assistance.
• Ensures parents are adhering to the Kids Club policies and signs child in and out of the facility.
• Ensures all safety precautions are taken when receiving and releasing children to the parent/legal guardian by using the Parental ID check‑in process.
• Ensures no drinks or foods are in the Kids Club.
• Is accountable for children at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
