Job summary

Emerging Blue, Inc., a NYC-based heritage denim brand, seeks a Kids Apparel Graphic Designer to join its design team. You will develop seasonally brand-right graphics for apparel, collaborating with Design, Sales and Merchandising to support the creative vision.

You’ll manage concept development, art approvals, line sheets, and market trend research to guide several distribution levels. Strong typography, color work and presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the fashion industry (children’s wear knowledge a plus).
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create print designs for t-shirts and other apparel items.
• Develop concepts for art including changes required by licensor.
• Prepare graphics for internal presentations and color separations for screen printing.
• Coordinate standards and materials for seasonal development.
• Work with Design, Sales and Brand Management to launch clothing lines.
• Manage the overall design process to meet style plans and trends.
