Job summary

Carter's Inc. is seeking a talented apparel designer to contribute to seasonal design direction across babies and young children brands.

You will collaborate with design and merchandising teams to create brand-right silhouettes, prints, and line sheets, while communicating design intent and maintaining product details throughout the development process. You should bring 2–5 years of design experience in children's apparel, familiarity with PLM tools, and strong Adobe Illustrator skills on a Mac.

Qualifications

• Exhibit inquisitiveness and strong communication and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction and design details.
• Proficiency with Mac and Adobe Illustrator is essential.

Responsibilities

• Present new ideas with brand-right creative direction.
• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to create seasonal designs.
• Design silhouettes, fabrics, washes and trims that fit brand and season.
• Develop line sheets and communicate design intent across teams.
• Support all aspects of design from concept to final development.
