Job summary

Sentara Health seeks a skilled Abdominal Transplant Surgeon for PRN shifts at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. The role supports a busy kidney/pancreas program with a focus on quality and interdisciplinary care.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of experience, be eligible to practice in Virginia, and participate in education and research activities within the transplant team.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited American Board of Surgery residency and an ASTS fellowship in transplantation.
• Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in Virginia.
• Interest in living donor kidney transplantation and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to growth and development of the transplant program.
• Engage in clinical and translational research and education of students/residents.
• Provide expert care in abdominal and kidney transplantation.
