Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group in Cartersville, GA seeks a reliable Orthodontic Assistant to support our kids-focused team and make visits enjoyable. You will help with procedures, take X-rays, and educate families on oral care in a welcoming setting.

Experience in orthodontics and familiarity with Denticon or iTero are a plus; a certified orthodontic assistant program is preferred. This is a full-time role with a friendly, team-oriented environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice preferred, but we will train the right person.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Additional certification or training is a plus.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.
• Full-time role (30+ hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid-friendly environment.
