Job summary

Drury Hotels in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a Kitchen/Guest Services Associate to support the 5:30 p.m. Kickback and ensure a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests.

You will assist with food preparation and clean-up, keep the kitchen and lobby tidy, and uphold food-safety standards while promoting Drury's hospitality. Proficiency in English and a friendly demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hotel operations and guest services.
• Ability to take inventory and calculate reorder levels.
• Warm, friendly communication with guests.
• Ability to read and follow directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the 5:30 Kickback for guests through food preparation and with clean-up.
• Ensure the kitchen and lobby area are clean and well organized.
• Maintain food safety standards and ensure supplies are stocked at appropriate levels.
• Maintain a high standard of integrity, service and hospitality to promote the Drury culture.
• Answer guests' questions using knowledge of the hotel, area and events.
• Provide courteous, friendly guest service with a +1 Service attitude.

What you will do:

Make our complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback “happy hour” … well, happy for our guests.

Ensure exceptional, positive experiences for our diverse team members and guests.

• Oversee the 5:30 Kickback for guests through food preparation and with clean-up.

• See to it that the kitchen and lobby area are clean and well organized.

• Ensure that food safety standards are met and that supplies are fully stocked at appropriate levels.

• Present and maintain a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality to promote the Drury culture to customers and co-workers.

• Answer guest’s questions using your knowledge of the hotel, area, and events.

• Ensure an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous, friendly, guest service with a +1 Service attitude.
