Job summary

Palmen Kia is seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles entering our service department. You will test-drive and inspect components, communicating with the Service Advisor to inform customers of needed services and timelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of KIA or Import service experience required.
• ASE Certification required.
• A-level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical and engine repair.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical and steering.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed of additional services.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
