  • Interact with customers to refine proposed solutions to varying needs.
  • Develop tools and resources to improve knowledge sharing and efficiency within the process engineering team.

Your Job

Koch-Glitsch, a global leader in mass transfer and separations equipment, is looking for a Process Engineering Intern to join our team in Summer 2027. This role provides technical support by developing innovative solutions, including trayed and packed tower applications, across diverse industries such as refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, biofuels, food processing, gas processing, pharmaceuticals, and environmental. This role is based in Wichita, KS.

As a Koch Engineered Solutions company, Koch-Glitsch keeps our customers' operations running with a wide range of innovative products and solutions serving the refining, chemical and petrochemical industries. As a full-service provider of mass transfer, mist elimination and phase separation equipment, we handle everything from design and fabrication to delivery and installation.

What You Will Do
  • Determine and anticipate customer expectations to provide value-based, technical solutions for our customers
  • Coordinate quoting effort for assigned opportunities working directly with customers, sales teams, process & equipment engineering, purchasing, project management, and manufacturing
  • Be the technical owner on all processes related to customer technical specifications from launch to completion, including hydraulic calculations, simulations and new arrangements that are compatible with customer specifications
  • Interact with customers to refine the proposed solution to meet varying needs as they arise
  • Develop tools and resources to improve knowledge sharing and efficiency within the process engineering team.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or higher degree program in chemical engineering, refining engineer, or a closely related field
  • Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2028
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience working with Mass Transfer Technology equipment, either in coursework, internships or professional experience
