Job description

KFC YUM! CENTER operated by ASM Global is a multi‑use entertainment venue in Louisville, Kentucky. The KFC Yum! Center offers a variety of world class events including concerts, family shows, sporting events and other special events, while providing a clean and safe environment and guaranteeing the ideal entertainment guest experience and satisfaction.

Position Summary

Oversees the safety and security of the KFC Yum! Center’s patrons, employees, and assets.

Third Shift: 11pm–7am $14.00/hr

Essential Functions

• Patrol the building regularly to keep interior and exterior secure during the entire shift.
• Respond to all safety and security calls to ensure incidents are resolved professionally and timely.
• Screen and log visitors to ensure appropriate access to the building.
• Monitor activity on security cameras and ensure devices are in working order.
• Review previous footage on cameras as directed.
• Operate the Lutron system to provide lighting where needed.
• Retrieve relevant information to investigate and compile accurate incident reports.
• Interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional patrons to prevent escalation.
• Assist with ejection or control of unruly, disruptive, and intoxicated guests.
• Regulate crowds during venue “on sales” to maintain control of ticket lines.
• Enable and disable the alarm system as directed to ensure proper operation.
• Coordinate and log building keys so that designated personnel have access to appropriate areas and all keys are accounted for.
• Unlock and open doors as necessary.
• Participate in training conducted by the Security Manager to review emergency response plans.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 0–1 years of related work experience (1 year preferred).
• Understanding of relevant laws and penal codes pertaining to safety and security (e.g., loitering and skateboarding ordinances).
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• CPR certification.
