Job summary

KFC Yum! Center, operated by ASM Global in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Security Officer for the second shift (3pm-11pm). You will patrol the venue, screen visitors, monitor cameras, and respond to incidents to ensure a safe guest experience.

Required are a High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and the ability to work nights and weekends. Prior security experience is preferred, with training provided by the Security Manager.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable safety and security laws and codes.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Patrols the building regularly to maintain security during shift.
• Responds to safety and security calls to resolve incidents professionally and promptly.
• Screens and logs visitors to control access to the building.
• Monitors security cameras and ensures devices are operational.
• Operates the lighting system (Lutron) to illuminate necessary areas.
• Retrieves information to investigate and compile incident reports.
• Interacts calmly with upset patrons to prevent escalation.
• Assists with ejection or control of unruly or intoxicated guests.
• Manages crowd control during venue on-sales and lines.
• Coordinates and logs building keys for access control.
• Participates in training with Security Manager on emergency plans.

KFC YUM! CENTER operated by ASM Global is a multi-use entertainment venue in Louisville, Kentucky. The KFC Yum! Center offers a variety of world class events including concerts, family shows, sporting events and other special events, while providing a clean and safe environment and guaranteeing the ideal entertainment guest experience and satisfaction.

Position Summary

Oversees the safety and security of the KFC Yum! Center's patrons, employees, and assets. Second Shift: 3pm-11pm $14.00/hr

Essential Functions

• Patrols the building on a regular basis so that the interior and exterior of the building remains secure during entire shift.
• Responds to all safety and security calls to ensure incidents are resolved in a professional and timely manner.
• Screens and logs visitors to ensure appropriate access to building.
• Monitors activity on security cameras and ensures devices are in working order.
• Reviews previous footage on cameras as directed.
• Operates Lutron system to make sure that lighting is provided in necessary areas.
• Retrieves relevant information to investigate and compile accurate incident reports.
• Interacts effectively and calmly with angry or emotional patrons, etc., to prevent aggravated circumstances from intensifying.
• Assists with the ejection or control of unruly, disruptive, and intoxicated guests.
• Regulates crowds during venue "on sales" to maintain control of ticket lines.
• Enables and disables alarm system as directed to ensure system is in proper working order.
• Coordinates and logs building keys so that designated personnel are given access to appropriate areas and that all keys are accounted for. Unlocks and opens doors as necessary.
• Participates in training conducted by the Security Manager in order to review emergency response plans.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum education level of High School Diploma or its equivalency.
• Must have a minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience; 1 is preferred.
• Understand relevant laws and penal codes pertaining to safety and security (e.g., loitering and skateboarding ordinances).
• Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
• CPR certified.
