Summary

An Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager (RM), Shift Leaders, and Team. They perform all duties of the Restaurant Manager in their absence, focusing on floor operations and Brand Training programs. They provide strong, positive leadership to deliver excellent guest experiences, operational excellence, and help build profitable sales for a single restaurant. They assist the RM in managing restaurant operations according to standards, policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Able to perform all responsibilities of restaurant team members
  2. Lead team meetings alongside the Restaurant Manager
  3. Oversee Brand Training Programs, schedule, and train staff
  4. Ensure execution of Brand standards, recipes, and systems
  5. Create and maintain a guest-focused culture
  6. Review guest feedback and implement improvement plans
  7. Communicate restaurant priorities, goals, and results to staff
  8. Assist with new product rollouts, including training and marketing
  9. Ensure Point of Purchase setup adheres to Brand standards
  10. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment, complying with safety and sanitation laws
  11. Control costs to maximize profitability
  12. Conduct periodic inventory as per policy
  13. Support RM in scheduling staff to meet demand and standards
  14. Assist RM with staff deployment and assignments
  15. Support RM in ordering supplies and vendors
  16. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  17. Conduct performance assessments for self and team
  18. Help meet restaurant budget goals
  19. Manage cash over/shorts and follow cash management policies
  20. Handle daily cash deposits at the bank
  21. Engage with Brands Field Operations team as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • 1-2 years of experience in Quick Service Restaurant or retail

Physical Demands

Ability to move/lift up to 20 lbs.
