Job summary

State of Florida, Department of Environmental Protection, Islamorada area parks, seeks a self-motivated part-time OPS Park Ranger to provide visitor services, maintenance, resource protection, and administrative support across Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park, Windley Key Geological State Park, Indian Key Historic State Park, and San Pedro Archaeological Preserve State Park. The position requires working 8 a.m.

– 5 p.m.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Florida's natural and cultural resources
• Good visitor service and administrative skills
• Ability to work independently and perform skilled trade tasks

Responsibilities

• Provide visitor services, information, and tours.
• Maintain park facilities and grounds.
• Support resource management and data collection.
• Preform maintenance and operate equipment such as chainsaws, mowers, UTVs, boats.
• Prepare forms, reports, and manage administrative tasks.
• Open/secure park facilities and enforce park rules.
