Job Summary
Under moderate supervision, the Retail Keyholder assists the store management in executing and supervising store activities. They deliver outstanding guest service, promote our buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model, and ensure products are accessible and well-organized. The role involves boosting sales through product knowledge, maintaining a clean environment, and fostering customer loyalty.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest service: greet guests, respond to questions, promote promotions, and express gratitude.
- Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and build guest relationships.
- Process purchases and returns accurately using the POS system.
- Address guest inquiries in person and via phone promptly and professionally.
- Promote GameStop’s benefits, such as reservations and loyalty programs.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including fixtures and equipment.
- Complete Omni-Channel orders daily.
- Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention.
- Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and organize the sales floor.
- Assist in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete administrative duties.
- Reconcile daily transactions and ensure accurate closeout procedures.
- Check shipments, process defective recalls, and label stock properly.
- Supervise and delegate tasks in the absence of management.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, including opening and closing routines.
- Observe and provide feedback on associate performance.
Qualifications
- Proof of identity and legal work eligibility in the U.S.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: 1+ year retail, guest service, or management experience.
- Knowledge of video games is a plus.

Compensation
